The open-source brcmfmac driver is available from the brcm module of the linux bbroadcom package, maintained upstream by the linux kernel community. I heard that with gutsy, I wouldn’t need to use ndiswrapper to use my broadcom.

I have tried the native broadcom drivers, it’s a big no go on this card. I did not see this thread until I had already tried other methods for getting it to work. I haven’t experienced any issues since ndiswrapper 1. When you try to connect to the network you should get a pop-up box asking for the passphrase for the network, if that doesn’t happen beoadcom if you click on the network-manager icon and open up the manual configuration dialog you can configure it there.
